Abstract:

The article capitalizes the poetic clues by Paul Verlaine and Alexander Blok on emergence and attainment of poetry, human life and the universal self-accomplish-ment. It elaborates on the logic of universal evolution proposed by Terrence Deacon. The author resorts unto Stepanov's cumulative semiotic resolution: Language-1, Language-2, Language-3. Following Floyd Merrell and Jerzy Peltz, the author proposes to transform the three-level model of formalized semiotics of discrete signs into continuously unfolding manifolds of semiosis or uninterrupted meaning-making. The possibilities of such a turn are provided by ongoing efforts to study languaging and translanguaging.

Keywords: practices and pragmatics, genesis’ beginnings and ends, plans of content and expression, Language-1, Language-2, Language-3, semiotics and semiosics, languaging and translanguaging
