Abstract: The article is devoted to the identification and description of the Siberian text in the work of Dmitry A. Prigov. Until now, it has not become the subject of attention of researchers. The research methodology is based on the tradition of local texts study-ing by representatives of the Tartu-Moscow semiotic school, geocultural and geoethical approaches. In “The Tale of the Three-fold Hero of the Soviet Union Alekseev” Siberia is the locus of mortal trials. Prigov demonstrates the transformation of the body into a text, and a person into a sign. The conceptualist discovers an analogue of a similar text-generating strategy in traditionalist culture. The “Tale...” is constructed in the same way as the medieval canon of life. The imposition of Old Russian and Socialist-realist poetics within the framework of one work turns Siberia into a palimpsest. In the “Open Letter (to my contemporaries, comrades-in-arms, and to all mine)” (1984), medieval and Soviet “hagiographies” alternate in fictional stories about Prigov’s comrades-in-arms. The life of the sentencing “I” is projected into many contexts, one of which is similar to the negative Siberian experience of Protopope Avvakum. Another modus is set in the biography of A. Monastyrsky, where Altai is modeled as an idyllic chronotope. The duality of proto-Moscow, the Urals, the Russian North, Kalmykia, Tungusia, the Mediterranean Sea and Altai is a particular manifestation of the tautological stringing of such objects characteristic of the conceptualist. The differentiation of space objects is leveled by their semantic identity. The quotient easily turns into another quotation, as it is a form of universal.
