Abstract: In this article, we introduce a possible principle of lexical-semantic analysis of correlations between Southern Siberian Turkic languages (Altai, Khakas, Tuvan) and Kipchak languages. We study verbs from several lexical-semantic groups. Comparative analysis is performed with consideration of similarities and differences in word structures and semantics, genesis and distribution of specific words. We show that correlations are mostly all-Turkic; a large portion of correlations is also limited to Siberian languages. Most of these are Mongolian loanwords, however, Ancient Turkic lexemes are also observed, as well as newest derivatives from Turkic stems. The greatest degree of closeness is observed between the Altai and Khakas languages. In these languages, particularly Altai, the Kipchak influence is reflected. We also detect some closeness between Altai and Kyrgyz.

Keywords: Turkic languages of Southern Siberia, Kipchak languages, verbs, lexical-semantic correlations, semantics, Mongolian loanwords
