Аннотация: Данное исследование представляет собой отрывок (главу 5) из книги «Основы семиотики» (John Deely. Basics of Semiotics. Bloomington, Indiana University Press, 1990) известного американского философа и семиотика Джона Дили. Автор описывает содержание опыта как основу семиозиса. Зоосемиотика и антропосемиотика рассматриваются в таких терминах, как Umwelt, Innenwelt, Lebenswelt. В работе детально исследуются отношения между такими понятиями, как репрезентация и знак, объект и вещь, код и идея. Рассматривая видоспецифический человеческий семиозис (антропосемиозис), автор анализирует «условность» знаков в антропосемиозисе, критицизм как исследование текстуальности и предлагает семиотику в качестве матрицы всех наук. Кроме прочего, автор предлагает модель дискурса как семиозиса.
