Abstract: In the intonation of general and special questions of the Teleut language and some Turkic languages of Southern Siberia (the Khakass and the Telengit dialect of the Altaic language) and other regions (the Tatar and the Yakut languages) typologically similar characteristics are found, expressing its uniqueness in accordance with the theory of V.M. Nadelyaev about the articulatory-acoustic basis of ethnos, because substrate traits can be displayed as distinctive features on the background of the common ones belonging to kindred languages.
