Abstract: The paper considers two translations (restatements) of Leconte de Lisle’s poem «Malayan pantuns», performed by N. Gumilev («Malayan pantuns», 1919) and by I. Bunin («Malayan song», 1916). It is noted that at the turn of the 20th century of particular significance were exotic themes that came to the Russian authors through the works of French poets and philosophers.

Keywords: pantun, exoticism, n. gumilev, i. bunin, lyrical space, lyrical plot
