Abstract: The paper describes the topical senses and functions of Pushkin’s transformed precedents in the novel «Socrates of Siberian Athens» by the Tomsk fantasy writer V.D. Kolupaev. Our study demonstrates the «Pushkin’s text» to be of great consequence in creating the images of a number of characters (Pythagoras, Aristocles-Plato, Seneca, Homer, global man), in representing the key concept («Siberian Athens»), and in implementing a genre («fantastic rehash parody»).

Keywords: v.d. kolupaev, pushkin’s text, precedent transformation, hidden character, twinning, parody, «siberization», concept of «siberian athens»
