Abstract: The paper deals with English loan words and other linguistic units arranged in the shape of a field. They are not unified semantically, but correspond to definite criteria. This is a space unified into a field by certain structural characteristics; it has its centre with fully assimilated loan words and phrases, its precentre with partially assimilated Anglicisms, and its periphery where weakly assimilated English borrowings are functioning.

Keywords: anglicism, english loan-word, borrowing, field structure, periphery, recipient language, transplant, loan translation
