Abstract: The female image has not become a subject of independent research in Khanty literature. At the same time several female images are distinguished in Khanty poetry though on the whole in the literature the man's theme dominates. An image of a beloved is an integral part of intimate lyrics of poets. In Khanty poetry the love theme is represented by not very numerous works by V.S. Voldin, I.M. Shulgin, M.K. Vagatova, and R.P. Rugin, so the incarnation of an image of a beloved in them becomes much more interesting.

Keywords: female image, beloved, khanty poetry
