Abstract: In a review of which appeared in 2009 in Moscow publishing house «New Chronograph» monograph by Elena Nikolaevna Proskurina «Unity allegory: a narrative poetics of novels by Gaito Gazdanov» analyzed the structure of work, the research concept, built on the idea of unity of the novels by Gazdanov, which is based on the consis-tent deployment of copyright myth that sets the novel body «not only horizontal but also vertical dimension». In the review presented range of scientific problems addressed in each chapter of the monograph. The contribution represented by the publication of the study of the artistic heritage of the first wave of Russian writers abroad, liberated from the pressure of political and ideological cliches.
