Abstract: This paper investigates different ways of expressing Evidential semantics in Udihe language. Nowadays Udihe describes Evidence mainly by lexical means (Particles, Verbs or Nouns). But in fact there also exists the relic morphological means – verbal suffix ‑mui "smell of something". In present times Udihe suffix –mui is considered as derivational.
