Abstract: Legeuphemism is considered as a special case of euphemism directed to the minimization of legal risks in public communication. In the research special attention is paid to legal risk as one of active determinants of the development of euphemizm in the public communication of modern Russia. Legeuphemism (legal euphemism) is an object of euphemologiya since it is a nomination allowing the speaker to minimize the risk of legal responsibility. It is appropriate to regard legeuphemism as a nomination any magnitude and any semiotic status: a word, a word-combination, a sentence. Legeuphemism can be realized at a lexical, stylistic, and compositional level. Differentiated in the course of the research have been such types of legeuphemisms as synthetical and analytical ones.
